The Vision
The Hope Town Club is a thoughtfully designed island gathering place, inspired by the charm of Elbow Cay and the timeless character of Hope Town. This intimate club will feature recreation, wellness, and casual dining, alongside a collection of cottages and waterfront estates. Rooted in community and architectural tradition, it’s a place for families and neighbors to connect — quietly elegant, deeply local, and built with care.
FOUNDER's Letter
The Club
Set just beyond the village, Hope Town Club is nestled within the historic Pieces Of Eight estate — a private enclave of cottages, estate lots, and island amenities designed for a like-minded few. Members enjoy a welcoming Clubhouse with a pool, courts, and gathering spaces that feel more like a retreat than a resort, plus a marina with dedicated boat slips and the club’s own boat for on-the-water adventures. Your journey to island living begins here.
Hope Town Club offers a chance to enjoy island living at its best, where simple pleasures come easy, friendships grow, and you'll make memories that last.
It’s a quieter kind of place — where mornings begin on the water or the croquet lawn, and evenings bring neighbors and families together under a pavilion roof. At 6 o’clock, church bells ring and the island’s quiet ritual begins: the sharing of cocktails, conversation, food, and a Bahamian sunset. Built with care and respect, it reflects the community of Hope Town — casual, timeless, and deeply connected.

The Quiet Rhythm of Competition
A well-placed serve. The familiar echo of a clean rally. Three tennis courts, two dedicated pickleball courts and croquet lawn offer more than play — they offer pause, connection, and just enough pursuit to keep things interesting.

A Poolside State of Mind
Palm shadows on still water. A breath of breeze through the cabanas. Whether you’re swimming, sunning, hot-tubbing or simply letting time pass — this is where the island reminds you how to slow down.

Unscripted Moments, Beautifully Served
A glass chilled just right. Something fresh on the plate. Laughter that lingers longer than expected. Our snack bar, pavilion, beach bar and planned events create the perfect backdrop for connection and celebration.
Where the Sea
Here, the boundaries between land and sea dissolve into pure possibility. Members enjoy exclusive access to a secluded stretch of beach where time moves to the rhythm of gentle waves and the only agenda is your own.
Your reserved boat slip at the nearby marina becomes your launching point for island exploration, while our waterfront cabana provides the perfect perch for watching the world slow down. When adventure calls, the club's boat awaits — ready for bountiful fishing trips, sailing waters that stretch to the horizon, or simply seeing where the day, and the tide, takes you.

The Estates
The crown jewels of the Pieces of Eight property, these three expansive waterfront lots offer unmatched views of the Atlantic Ocean and private access to a pristine white sand beach. Each lot provides ample space for a private pool, detached guesthouse, and garage — ideal for creating your own secluded island retreat. Dive into the turquoise waters just steps from your door, or unwind poolside in total privacy. Choose from one of our professionally designed architectural plans or bring your vision to life with a custom seaside estate.
The Cottages
Single-family buildable lots offer the freedom to shape your own vision of paradise, or you can partner exclusively with the Club to buy and build cottages designed specifically for a club-managed rental program. Each one blends classic Bahamian style with those special island touches you can only find in Hope Town.
Our Heritage

An Icon Reimagined
A Legacy Inspired by Lord Cavendish’s Manor
The Hope Town Clubhouse draws its inspiration from a manor once owned by Lord Cavendish — an English nobleman whose estate stood for gracious hospitality and timeless style. Now reimagined, the Clubhouse will reflect that same sense of quiet refinement: a gathering place shaped by history, and ready to welcome its next chapter.
A Timeless Beacon
Guiding Mariners Since 1863
Standing watch since the era of tall ships, the Elbow Reef Lighthouse remains the world’s last active kerosene-lit beacon — and one of only three manually operated lighthouses remaining worldwide. More than a landmark, this gentle, rhythmic glow has become inseparable from Hope Town’s identity, illuminating not only the harbor but also the timeless maritime heritage of the island itself.

Enduring Style, Timeless Spirit
A Heritage Carried Across The Sea
Hope Town was born from the dreams of New England colonists loyal to King George III who sought refuge here during the Revolutionary War. Bringing their distinctive Colonial aesthetic across the sea, these settlers shaped a village that still reflects their architectural legacy today. The charming clapboard cottages, shuttered windows, and pastel-hued homes of “The Settlement” — now known fondly as Hope Town Village — stand as lasting symbols of their determination, elegance, and enduring vision.
